JoAnn and her Staff Welcome You!!

We will phase in classes by age with plans and practices to keep everyone safe and healthy while returning to dance.

Phase One: On June 1st, we reopen for our oldest students! Teens, Jr. Company, Senior Prep, Apprentice and Senior Company classes begin to meet, resuming their regular days and times. This allows us to have the oldest, most mature students in the studio first, to practice social distancing within the classrooms and the studio.

Phase Two: On June 8th, we reopen for our younger students, who take classes of more than one hour in length. These include our 7-9 year old students (1&1/2 Hour classes) as well as our Intermediate and Advanced Intermediate classes (2 hour classes). These classes resume their regular days and times since they are mature enough to understand social distancing within the classrooms and the studio.

Phase Three: On June 15, we reopen the doors for our youngest students, who take one-hour classes. These include our preschoolers (3’s and 4’s) and early elementary students (5’s and 6/7’s). These students are included in our last phase of reopening because we are awaiting further CDC guidelines and instruction regarding activities for young children.

Things will look just a little different for all of us…and there will be some practices we all need to follow in order to reopen and have in-person classes.  Please know that we are doing everything possible to make the studio a safe place for your students.

Here's how we're keeping the studio safe and healthy:

  1. Cleaning and sanitizing all high touch surfaces in the lobby and studios before and after all classes.

  2. Cleaning and sanitizing all bathroom surfaces and fixtures after each use of the bathroom.

  3. Shutting down the water fountain. All students will need to bring a water bottle to class.

  4. Providing hand sanitizer upon entry to the studio. All students and staff must wash or sanitize hands prior to entry.

  5. Requiring that parents, students and staff to stay home if they or anyone in their family is sick with a cough, cold or fever.

  6. Closing the lobby area to parents and families, removing all furniture to discourage gathering of crowds to prevent the spread of germs.

  7. Requiring that students be brought to the sidewalk by the front door where a staff member will escort them into the lobby and assist with changing shoes if needed.

  8. Providing a designated entry door and designated exit door to avoid crowds. After class, students will be brought out the exit door by staff to meet parents on the sidewalk.

  9. Requiring staff and students to self-check and take temperatures prior to coming into the studio.

  10. Taking the temperature of any student that appears to have a cough, cold, or symptoms of illness.

  11. Requiring masks for staff and students in accordance with CDC guidelines. This is fluid and may change, in which case, we'll update you ASAP.

  12. Spacing students 6 feet apart in classrooms to maintain social distancing.
